POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As a core member Save The Bay’s Hamilton Family Aquarium education team, you will be responsible for teaching guests about Narragansett Bay ecology at our touch tanks and other interactive exhibits. This is a great opportunity for college students and recent college graduates to get experience working in both the fields of marine science and environmental education and to gain more experience working in an aquarium.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge and or background in marine ecology, environmental science or environmental education
- Enjoy working with people of various ages, especially children
- Available to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
- Comfortability handling marine animals
- Comfortable with public speaking
- Must be flexible and outgoing with a good sense of humor
- First Aid/CPR certification a plus
- BCI check required
- Spanish or other multilingual skills a plus.
