For close to 30 years, Save The Bay's education program, Explore The Bay (ETB), has been connecting students, teachers and families to Rhode Island's largest natural resource, Narragansett Bay.

Explore The Bay (ETB), "brings to life" the concepts you introduce in your classroom. We address a wide range of environmental and marine science topics and can customize any of our programs to fit your curriculum needs. All of our programs are aligned to state science standards. ETB offers educational programming at our two educational facilities as well as on site, whether that be on the water, along the coast, into the rivers, or in your classroom. All programs are designed to be a vehicle to aid teachers help students achieve state science standards. See how our progams are aligned to Grade Span Expectations (GSEs).

Shipboard Programs

All hands on deck! Explore life in and around Narragansett Bay aboard one of Save The Bay's education vessels: 45-foot M/V Alletta Morris, 46-foot M/V Elizabeth Morris or the 27-foot M/V Swift. All of our education vessels are fully certified and inspected by the U.S. Coast Guard and run on eco-friendly biodiesel fuel. Browse & book >

Exploration Center & Aquarium Programs

Our interactive marine science learning center with over 14 exhibits and hundreds of creatures that call Narragansett Bay home is a perfect classroom set up for your group. Bay Center Programs
