Bay Schools Initiative

Bay Schools Initiatives are partnerships between Save The Bay and area schools who are interested in long-term programming centered around Narragansett Bay and its watershed. Each of the programs represents a commitment between the school and Save The Bay to give the students a well-rounded, in-depth look at the Bay and its systems. The programs are tailored to the grade level and specific focus areas that the teachers are working on and are designed to meet Grade Span Expectations.

Current partnerships include classes in almost every grade from elementary through high school. Many of these partnerships are paid for in part by Save The Bay’s federal funding which helps low-performing schools get these programs, which would otherwise be unaffordable.
