Planting Spartina alterniflora seedlings is the culmination of a year of work for students, and allows them to see how their hard work can improve the health of Narragansett Bay by helping to restore Salt Marshes.

Seedlings will be planted at one of Save the Bay's active Salt Marsh Restoration sites which is at a stage where it is ready to support the plants.  Planting will take place in May or June, usually before school lets out.  Schools that are able to make the trip out to the restoration site will meet with Save the Bay staff to learn about the restoration site and to get directions and use of tools for planting the seedlings.
