The Rhode Island Department of Education has adopted the new Grade Span Expectations in Science. We at Save the Bay have been working to show how our programs and activities fit into these new GSEs. In addition, Save the Bay education programs use the science inquiry process and can help students become more prepared for the upcoming NECAP Assessments in science.

It is important to note that our programs are tools that each teacher can use to help their students achieve the relevant GSE. Our programs create a rich learning environment designed to meet each teacher's needs. When booking a program, be sure to discuss what GSEs you would like to focus on. In addition, there are a number of activities that can be done during and after Save The Bay education programs to meet GSEs in written and oral communications, and math.
