Hi International Coastal Cleanup Beach Captains! Here's where you will find all the info you need to successfully lead your cleanup.

THE BASICS:

The Clean Swell App - information and download page. Please update your app before your cleanup if you haven't done so in a while; the old version will no longer be supported soon.
ICC Data Card (NOTE: New data card this year! Per the Ocean Conservancy's instructions, we will use up the old ones we have in stock until we need to order new ones)
Registration link (for cleanups open to the public) That is the direct link, but you can also use www.savebay.org/icc.
Waiver
Safety tips for volunteers - Will be emailed to all registered volunteers. Please share with your volunteers if you are leading a private group cleanup.
Cleanup Kit Contents
Beach Captain Cheat Sheet - will be included in your cleanup kit as a quick reference.
Cleanup Tracking Sheet - Plug in as a leader or co-leader at a scheduled cleanup, or check to see what beaches still need cleaning. NOTE: this is a big, messy, active planning list in Google Sheets with multiple tabs. If it doesn't make sense to you or if you are not comfortable with Google Sheets, no worries - just ask July whatever you need to know!

BEACH CAPTAIN CLEANUP LEADER TRAININGS

Beach Captain trainings will be held on Zoom. For experienced Beach Captains: Attend a refresher training on Tuesday, 8/8, 7-8 PM.

New leaders should attend one of our full Zoom trainings, then sign up to assist at a planned cleanup to complete your training. You only need to attend one!

Thursday, 8/10, 7-8:30 PM
Saturday, 8/12, 9-10:30 AM
Tuesday, 8/22, 7-8:30 PM
Tuesday, 9/12, 7-8:30 PM

FOR OTHER CLEANUP ORGANIZATIONS: Lots of great groups around Rhode Island lead cleanup programs, from neighborhood groups and scout troops to watershed organizations and other environmental non-profits. If you represent a group that leads cleanups and would like to join the ICC effort, learn how by reading our quick overview.

SUPPLY KIT PICK-UP/DROP-OFF 2023 LOCATIONS AND TIMES:
