Rhode Island Lighthouse Tours

Save The Bay's Lighthouse Tours are the ONLY cruises on Narragansett Bay that include a stop to tour the inside of a lighthouse. We'll provide the binoculars, but bring your camera! You won't want to miss this trip of a lifetime!

Prudence Island Tours

Have you visited the pristine habitat in the middle of Narragansett Bay? Come join us for an exciting excursion to beautiful Prudence Island!

Trips from historic Newport and Providence arrive at the Narragansett Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (NBNERR) on Prudence Island, where passengers can join a NBNERR-guided hike or explore the beach and island on their own.

Save The Bay educators have an interactive family zone on the beach to help the younger passengers explore the interesting tidal waters of Prudence Island!

Marine Science Excursions

A perfect trip for families, passengers will join Save the Bay’s expert crew members as they learn to use specialized scientific tools to learn about water quality, catch plankton and see them LIVE and SWIMMING on a projector, and help pull in a bottom trawl to meet some of the Bay’s most interesting inhabitants live and in person in our custom touch tanks! This is a perfect trip for adults interested in the marine environment, as well for all of our future scientists! Includes a discounted rate to explore our Exploration Center & Aquarium at Easton’s Beach after the trip.

Cost (includes lunch)

  • $25 for Save The Bay members
  • $35 for non-members

Departure time and location

11:00 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. from Newport. Tour is 2 hours.

What to expect

Come prepared for a few hours on the water -- hats, sunscreen, light outerwear for the afternoon sea breeze, and snacks. Lunch, non-alcoholic beverages, and binoculars are provided.

Cancellation policy for all tours

Our trips will not be deterred by light rain. We will run the tour rain or shine. However, your safety is our priority. The captain may decide to cancel the tour in the event of extreme weather conditions. In that case, you will be notified both by email or phone. We will attempt to reschedule or you will refunded you in full. A cancellation made by the passenger less than 48 hours (2 days) from the departure time is non-refundable.
