BayCamp Counselor-in-Training (CIT)

Reports to: Lead BayCamp Staff member
Dates: July and August 2010

OBJECTIVE: Work with Explore The Bay staff to assure the success of BayCamp.

DUTIES:

  • Assist at BayCamp by leading and helping in all activities with campers
  • Assist in supervising 18 campers and help in smaller group shoreline activities
  • Take direction from BayCamp Education Staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Age requirement: Completed grade 8
  • Outgoing personality, sense of humor, strong desire to teach others about the Bay environment
  • Excellent speaking skills, must enjoy working with younger children
  • First Aid and CPR certifications desired but not required
  • Own transportation to BayCamp sites  
  • Prior attendance in BayCamp or in Save The Bay programs a plus
